What Is Anodized Aluminium?
Anodized aluminium is aluminium treated through an electrochemical process that creates a hard, protective oxide layer integral to the metal, not a coating applied on top. It doesn't peel, chip, or separate. The result is a material that is corrosion-resistant, and consistent in appearance across the full surface.
The anodized layer accepts both laser engraving and UV printing with precise results. When laser engraved, the laser removes the anodized coating to reveal the bare aluminium beneath — a sharp, permanent, high-contrast mark that is in the material itself, not on it. When UV printed, the flat anodized surface accepts full-colour, high-resolution prints with strong adhesion and UV resistance.
